3. Instill in children the importance of regular exercise. To avoid obesity which can lead to more complications among children with diabetes, parents should make exercise a part of everyday life of children. This exercise should not be so tight, it can be a simple walk, jog, or even help with the housework as long as there is enough movement for the day.
4. Reassure the child of love and support. There are children with diabetes who think that having a chronic illness is their fault. Many of them also think that they have the condition because they did something bad or they are not only good enough for their parents. To remove these doubts in the minds of children, parents always have to make sure their children that they will support him or do not care and they will love the child no matter what.
